APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment against
the Department of Transportation and Development in the suit entitled "Joseph L.
LeBlanc, Jr., et al v. State of Louisiana, et al"
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2010-2
2011 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Joseph L. LeBlanc,3
Jr. v. State of Louisiana, through the Department of Transportation and4
Development"; and to provide for related matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1. The sum of Three Hundred Twenty Thousand and No/100 ($320,000.00)7
Dollars is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal8
Year 2010-2011 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Joseph L.9
LeBlanc, Jr. v. State of Louisiana, through the Department of Transportation and10
Development", bearing Number 226,616 "A" on the docket of the Ninth Judicial District11
Court, parish of Rapides, state of Louisiana.12
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2010; if vetoed by the governor13
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,14
2010, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later. 15 HLS 10RS-409 ORIGINAL
