AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 30:2153(5), relative to solid waste management; to provide for2
the definition of a solid waste disposal facility; and to provide for related matters.3
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:4
Section 1. R.S. 30:2153(5) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:5
ยง2153. Definitions6
As used in this Chapter, the following terms shall have the meaning ascribed7
to them in this Section, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:8

(5) "Solid waste disposal facility" means any land area or structure or10
combination of land areas and structures, used for storing, salvaging, processing,11
reducing, incinerating, or disposing of solid wastes, excluding any "processing,12
treatment, or disposal facility" as defined in R.S. 30:2173 and any facility where13
solid waste management activities are limited to transferring solid waste from14
collection vehicles to other vehicles for transport without processing.15
