Regular Session, 2010 HOUSE BILL NO. 965 BY REPRESENTATIVE WADDELL ECONOMIC DEVELOP/DEPT: Requires the Department of Economic Development to include certain details about pending mega-project deals on its website AN ACT1 To enact R.S. 51:2366, relative to the Louisiana Mega-Project Development Fund; to require2 the Department of Economic Development to publish on its website information3 regarding potential mega-projects, including the potential location and nature of the4 business being subsidized; to provide a definition; and to provide for related matters.5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6 Section 1. R.S. 51:2366 is hereby enacted to read as follows: 7 ยง2366. Accountability requirements8 The Department of Economic Development shall publish on its website9 information on each pending mega-project, including, at a minimum, the parishes10 being considered for location and the nature of the business being subsidized. For11 the purposes of this Section, pending mega-projects are those that are in the active12 planning or development phase or those that have been assigned a code name but13 have yet to be approved.14 Section 2.
