AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 17:7.1(B)(3)(introductory paragraph), relative to teacher2
certification; to provide relative to the employment experience necessary for certain3
principals to be exempt from certain testing requirements relative to certification;4
and to provide for related matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1. R.S. 17:7.1(B)(3)(introductory paragraph) is hereby amended and7
reenacted to read as follows: 8

(3) Any principal who holds valid out-of-state certification as a principal, has14
at least four years of successful experience as a principal in another state as15
determined by the board, and has completed one year of successful employment as16
an assistant principal or a principal in a Louisiana public school system shall not be17
required to take the examination administered in accordance with the provisions of18
