HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON NO. 58
BY REPRESENTATIVE WILLIAMS
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON
To express sincere and heartfelt condolences upon the death of Elder Eric Wayne Robinson
of Shreveport.
WHEREAS, it was with deep regret and profound sorrow that the members of the
Louisiana Legislature learned of the death of Elder Eric Wayne Robinson of Shreveport on
Thursday, January 28, 2010, at the age of forty-six; and 
WHEREAS, born on September 5, 1963, in Shreveport, Louisiana, Elder Robinson
was the second son of Wade Robinson, Sr., and the late Dorothy P. Robinson; and
WHEREAS, Elder Robinson attended Fair Park High School, where he was a
member of the band, and Louisiana State University in Shreveport; and
WHEREAS, by the time he reached college, Elder Robinson excelled in music,
mastering the piano, keyboard, and the organ, which became his instrument of choice; and
WHEREAS, Elder Robinson accepted Christ early in life and was a faithful member
of Goodwill Baptist Church; and
WHEREAS, later in life, Elder Robinson joined the Mooringsport Church of God in
Christ, and in 2003, he became an ordained elder and served as assistant pastor and minister
of music; and 
WHEREAS, Elder Robinson was a loving son, devoted father, and beloved citizen
of the state of Louisiana; and 
WHEREAS, Elder Robinson is survived by his children, Schuyler and Sierra
Robinson; his father, Wade Robinson, Sr.; five brothers, Wade Robinson, Jr., Victor
Robinson, Sterling Robinson, Prince Robinson, and Brian Robinson; one sister, Princess
Robinson Jones; and an array of extended family members and friends; and 
WHEREAS, Elder Robinson was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Dorothy
P. Robinson; and ENROLLEDHCR NO. 58

WHEREAS, although the death of Elder Eric Wayne Robinson has left a tremendous
void in his community, his memory shall live on forever in the minds and hearts of all who
knew and loved him.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
express sincere and heartfelt condolences upon the death of Elder Eric Wayne Robinson of
Shreveport, does hereby recognize and record for posterity his outstanding accomplishments
and singular contributions, and does hereby extend enduring appreciation for the pride and
honor that this wonderful man will forever bring to his family, friends, community, and state.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to the family of Elder Eric Wayne Robinson.
