ENROLLED Page 1 of 2 Regular Session, 2010 HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 100 BY REPRESENTATIVES MICHAEL JACKSON, TUCKER, AUBERT, BARROW, CARTER, DIXON, GREENE, GUINN, HARDY, LEBAS, LEGER, LIGI, PONTI, RICHMOND, GARY SMITH, PATRICIA SMITH, STIAES, WILLIAMS, AND WILLMOTT A RESOLUTION To commend the Catholic High School track and field team upon winning the 2010 Class 5A state championship. WHEREAS, the Catholic High School track and field team completed a sensational season, earning the title of 2010 Class 5A state champions after scoring 104 points at the state track and field meet at the Bernie Moore Track Stadium at Louisiana State University; and WHEREAS, the championship win was the third consecutive state track and field championship for the Bears and the culmination of another unforgettable season; and WHEREAS, the members of the team performed at the highest level of excellence throughout the 2010 track and field season, and each of these great Bears deserves recognition for his vital contributions to the winning effort; and WHEREAS, the amazing accomplishments of the team could not have been achieved without the guidance and skills of Coach Pete Boudreaux as well as all of the other individuals who have contributed to the success of the school's track and field program; and WHEREAS, the team's outstanding 2010 season upholds the glorious tradition of the Bears, and all Catholic High School alumni and fans recognize the immense pride and distinguished honor that the team brings to its school, community, and state. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Catholic High School track and field team upon winning the 2010 Class 5A state championship and does hereby extend best wishes to the players, coaches, and everyone involved with this fine track and field program as they celebrate their exceptional season and prepare for continued success in the future.
