HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 124

A RESOLUTION
To commend the Gillyard, Johnson, and Mahoney families on the memorable and historic
occasion of their family reunion, August 6 through 8, 2010.
WHEREAS, in August of 2010, the Gillyard, Johnson, and Mahoney families are
assembling to celebrate their history and the unwavering unity that they have demonstrated
for generations; and
WHEREAS, the Gillyard, Johnson, and Mahoney ancestors were lifelong residents
of DeSoto and Caddo parishes, and today's Gillyards, Johnsons, and Mahoneys take great
pride in their ancestral origin; and
WHEREAS, the Gillyard, Johnson, and Mahoney families are great Louisiana
families with a rich heritage whose members throughout the years have been vibrant and
beloved members of Louisiana communities; and
WHEREAS, the remarkable individuals gathering for this unforgettable occasion
merit a special measure of commendation for the tremendous honor that they bring to
DeSoto and Caddo parishes and to the state of Louisiana.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Gillyard, Johnson, and Mahoney families
upon the occasion of their family reunion, August 6 through 8, 2010, does hereby express
sincere appreciation and gratitude to these wonderful people for their outstanding
achievements and singular contributions, and does hereby extend best wishes for continued
success and happiness as they convene for this extraordinary event to celebrate their unique
spirit of family, love, unity, and pride. ENROLLEDHR NO. 124
