ENROLLED Page 1 of 2 Regular Session, 2010 HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 64 BY REPRESENTATIVE DIXON A RESOLUTION To commend Pastor Bennie R. Edison of Comforter Baptist Church and Alexandria Councilman Edward Larvadain III of District One for hosting the 2010 Easter Egg Hunt-Carnival. WHEREAS, it is appropriate to commend Pastor Bennie R. Edison of Comforter Baptist Church and Alexandria Councilman Edward Larvadain III of District One for hosting the 2010 Easter Egg Hunt-Carnival; and WHEREAS, the 2010 Easter Egg Hunt-Carnival was held on Saturday, April 3, 2010, at Harmon Park in Alexandria; and WHEREAS, the 2010 Easter Egg Hunt-Carnival attracted more than three hundred children and their families to share in a wholesome activity that also provided educational events to motivate children in this high poverty area; and WHEREAS, the 2010 Easter Egg Hunt-Carnival was a part of Comforter Baptist Church's Outreach Ministry, which welcomes residents of the community to the church, and the event also allowed residents to meet Councilman Larvadain while he illustrated his interest in bettering the community; and WHEREAS, the 2010 Easter Egg Hunt-Carnival also provided a means for the church to reach out to the community and help those in need; and WHEREAS, Pastor Bennie R. Edison and Councilman Edward Larvadain III merit a special measure of commendation for the tremendous pride and honor that they bring to their family, friends, and community, the city of Alexandria, and the state of Louisiana. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Pastor Bennie R. Edison of Comforter Baptist Church and Alexandria Councilman Edward Larvadain III of District One for hosting the 2010 Easter Egg Hunt-Carnival, does hereby recognize and record for posterity the ENROLLEDHR NO. 64 Page 2 of 2 extraordinary accomplishments and manifold contributions that they have made to the their community, and does hereby extend best wishes for the continued success of the Easter Egg Hunt-Carnival in the future.
