HLS 10RS-4269 ORIGINAL Page 1 of 2 Regular Session, 2010 HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 75 BY REPRESENTATIVE ELLINGTON HOUSE/RULES: Provides with respect to the votes needed for the adoption of resolutions A RESOLUTION1 To enact House Rule 10.10 of the Rules of Order of the House of Representatives to2 establish the requisite votes need to adopt certain resolutions.3 BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the Legislature of Louisiana4 that House Rule 10.10 of the Rules of Order of the House of Representatives is hereby added5 to read as follows:6 Rule 10.10. Adoption of resolutions; votes needed7 A. No concurrent resolution or resolution amending the House Rules shall8 be adopted unless at least a majority of the members elected to the House vote in9 favor thereof.10 B. Other resolutions may be adopted by a majority of the members present11 and voting, without the necessity of a roll call vote.12 DIGEST The digest printed below was prepared by House Legislative Services. Proposed House Rule requires the affirmative vote of a majority of the elected members of the House to adopt a House concurrent resolution, to concur in a Senate concurrent resolution, or to amend the House Rules.
