HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 86
BY REPRESENTATIVE BALDONE
A RESOLUTION
To commend the Vandebilt Catholic High School girls swim team upon winning the 2010
Division II state championship.
WHEREAS, the Vandebilt Catholic High School girls swim team completed a
sensational season, earning the title of 2010 Division II state champions after scoring 366
points at the Louisiana High School Athletic Association state swim meet; and 
WHEREAS, the championship win was the sixth consecutive state swimming
championship for the Lady Terriers and the culmination of another unforgettable season; and
WHEREAS, the members of the team performed at the highest level of excellence
throughout the season, and each of these great Lady Terriers deserves recognition for her
vital contributions to the winning effort; and 
WHEREAS, top finishers for the Lady Terriers included Brittany Daigle, Rhyan
Thomassie, Anee Briglio, Abby Knight, Naomi Hill, Francois Bourgeois, Hana Calhoun,
Jessica Bourque, Megan Oliver, Hilary Knight, Tanei Armendariz, Hannah Jackson,
Madalyn Marcel, Madison Guarino, Emile Melancon, Maria Marmande, and Candace
Jackson; and
WHEREAS, the amazing accomplishments of the team could not have been achieved
without the guidance and skills of head coach Duane Ring as well as all of the other
individuals who have contributed to the success of the school's swimming program; and 
WHEREAS, the team's outstanding 2010 season upholds the glorious tradition of the
Lady Terriers, and all Vandebilt Catholic High School alumni and fans recognize the
immense pride and distinguished honor that the team brings to its school, community, and
state.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Vandebilt Catholic High School girls ENROLLEDHR NO. 86

swim team upon winning the 2010 Division II state championship and does hereby extend
best wishes to the players, coaches, and everyone involved with this fine swimming program
as they celebrate their exceptional season and prepare for continued success in the future.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to Coach Duane Ring.
