COMMENDATIONS: Commends the Northside High School boys and girls track and field
teams for winning the 2010 Class 4A state championship
A RESOLUTION1
To commend the Northside High School boys and girls track and field teams for winning the2
2010 Class 4A state championship.3
WHEREAS, the Northside High School boys and girls track and field teams4
completed a sensational season, earning the title of 2010 Class 4A state champions after the5
boys team scored 88 points and girls team scored 74 points at the Louisiana High School6
Athletic Association/State Farm track and field meet; and 7
WHEREAS, the championship wins were the second consecutive state track and field8
championships for the boys and girls teams and the culmination of another unforgettable9
season; and 10
WHEREAS, the members of the teams performed at the highest level of excellence11
throughout the 2010 track and field season, and all of these great Vikings deserve12
recognition for their vital contributions to the winning effort; and 13
WHEREAS, the amazing accomplishments of the team could not have been achieved14
without the guidance and skills of Northside girls coach, Tawana Williams, and boys coach,15
Randell Francois, as well as all of the other individuals who have contributed to the success16
of the school's track and field programs; and 17
WHEREAS, the teams' outstanding 2010 season upholds the glorious tradition of the18
Vikings, and all Northside High School alumni and fans recognize the immense pride and19
distinguished honor that the teams bring to their school, community, and state.20 HLS 10RS-4099 ORIGINAL

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the1
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Northside High School boys and girls2
track and field teams for winning the 2010 Class 4A state championship and does hereby3
extend best wishes to the athletes, coaches, and everyone involved with this fine track and4
field program as they celebrate their exceptional season and prepare for continued success5
in the future.6
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted7
to Coach Tawana Williams and Coach Randell Francois.8
