PARKS. Provides with respect to the State Parks and Recreation Commission. (8/15/10)
AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 56:1681(A)(2)(c), relative to the State Parks and Recreation2
Commission; to provide that one member of the commission is to be appointed by3
the governor from a panel of four members nominated by the Louisiana Garden Club4
Federation, Inc.; and to provide for related matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1. R.S. 56:1681(A)(2)(c) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as7
follows:8
ยง1681. Creation; purpose and duties; members; appointments and terms;9
compensation; chairman; meetings10

(2) The commission shall be composed of eighteen members, as follows:12

Present law provides that the State Parks and Recreation Commission is to be composed of
eighteen members, including one member to be appointed by the governor from a panel of
four members nominated by the Louisiana State Garden Society.
Proposed law corrects the name of the Louisiana State Garden Society to "Louisiana Garden
Club Federation, Inc." Proposed law otherwise retains present law.
Effective August 15, 2010.
