BY SENATOR N. GAUTREAUX 
BONDS. Authorizes money in the Oilfield Site Restoration Fund to be used for the payment
of bonds or other debt obligations for the purpose of financing oilfield site assessments and
restorations. (gov sig)
AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 30:86(E)(1), relative to the Oilfield Site Restoration Fund; to2
provide for the use of money in the fund for certain debt obligations; and to provide3
for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1.  R.S. 30:86(E)(1) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 6
ยง86. Oilfield Site Restoration Fund7

E. The monies in the fund may be disbursed and expended pursuant to the9
authority and direction of the secretary or assistant secretary for the following10
purposes and uses:11
(1) Any oilfield site assessment or restoration conducted by the Department12
of Natural Resources pursuant to this Part, and the pledge, dedication, and13
payment of the principal, interest, and other charges on bonds or other debt14
obligations issued in the manner provided by law for the purpose of financing15
such oilfield site assessments and restorations.16

Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not1
signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature2
by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If3
vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become4
effective on the day following such approval.5

Proposed law authorizes money in the Oilfield Site Restoration Fund to be used for the
pledge, dedication, and payment of the principal, interest, and other charges on bonds or
other debt obligations issued in the manner provided by law for the purpose of financing
oilfield site assessments and restorations.
Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
