AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 47:463.24(D), relative to special license plates for retired law2
officers; to provide for eligibility; and to provide for related matters.3
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:4
Section 1.  R.S. 47:463.24(D) is hereby amended and reacted to read as follows:5
ยง463.24.  Special license plates for retired law officers6

D. Any person who was employed as a law officer for twelve years or more	,8
was not discharged for misconduct related to his employment, and has not been9
convicted of any felony, shall be eligible for a special license plate under the10
provisions of this Section and renewal of such special license plate, regardless of11
whether or not that person is a member of, or is receiving retirement benefits from,12
a retirement system for law officers.13
