AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 33:9091.7(F)(3)(c), relative to Orleans Parish; to provide for a2
renewal of parcel fees for the Lakeshore Crime Prevention District; and to provide3
for related matters.4
Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1. R.S. 33:9091.7(F)(3)(c) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as7
follows: 8

F. Parcel fee. The governing authority of the city of New Orleans is hereby11
authorized to impose and collect a parcel fee within the district subject to and in12
accordance with the provisions of this Subsection:13

(c) The fee shall expire on December 31, 2010, but may be renewed as17
provided in Subparagraph (3)(a) of this Subsection. Any election to authorize18
renewal of the fee shall be held only at the same time as the mayoral primary19
election for that purpose in accordance with the Louisiana Election Code. If the20
fee is renewed, the term of the imposition of the fee shall be as provided in the21
proposition authorizing such renewal, not to exceed four years.22

Section 2.  This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2010.2
