(8/15/10) AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 14:89(A) and to enact R.S. 14:89.2, relative to crime against2 nature; to create the crime against nature by solicitation; to provide for elements of3 a crime; to provide for definitions; to provide for penalties; and to provide for related4 matters.5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6 Section 1. R.S. 14:89(A) is hereby amended and reenacted and R.S. 14:89.2 is7 hereby enacted to read as follows: 8 §89. Crime against nature 9 A. (2) The solicitation by a human being of another with the intent to engage in1 any unnatural carnal copulation for compensation.2 * * *3 §89.2. Crime against nature by solicitation4 A. Crime against nature by solicitation is the solicitation by a human5 being of another with the intent to engage in any unnatural carnal copulation6 for compensation.7 B. Proposed law provides that whoever commits the crime against nature by solicitation will be fined not more than $500 dollars, imprisoned for not more than six months, or both.
