Regular Session, 2010 ENROLLED SENATE BILL NO. 572 BY SENATOR CLAITOR AN ACT1 To enact R.S. 13:918, relative to clerks of court; to provide for the duties of clerks of court;2 to provide for the disbursement of funds in the registry of the court; to provide for3 accrued interest; and to provide for related matters.4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5 Section 1. R.S. 13:918 is hereby enacted to read as follows: 6 ยง918. Disbursement of funds7 After the clerk of court receives a copy of an order authorizing8 disbursement of funds located in the registry of the court, the clerk within9 fifteen business days shall disburse the funds by check, payable to each entity10 or person entitled to the funds. If the clerk of court fails to disburse the funds11 within the time period required under this Section, the entity or person entitled12 to the funds shall also be entitled to receive all interest earned on such funds13 while in the registry of the court.14 PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF LOUISIANA APPROVED: ACT No. 448
