Regular Session, 2010 ENROLLED SENATE BILL NO. 648 BY SENATOR HEBERT AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 37:3392(1) and (3), relative to real estate appraisers; to require2 real estate appraisers to consider energy efficiency aspects when assigning value to3 certain property; and to provide for related matters.4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5 Section 1. R.S. 37:3392(1) and (3) are hereby amended and reenacted to read as6 follows: 7 ยง3392. Definitions8 As used in this Chapter, the following words have the meaning ascribed to9 them in this Section unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:10 (1) "Appraisal" or "real estate appraisal" means an analysis, opinion, or11 conclusion relating to the nature, quality, value, or utility of specified interests in, or12 aspects, including energy efficiency, of, identified real estate, for or in expectation13 of compensation.14 * * *15 (3) "Appraisal report" means any communication, written or oral, of an16 analysis, opinion, or conclusion relating to the nature, quality, value, or utility of17 specified interests in, or aspects, including energy efficiency, of, identified real18 estate.19 * * *20 PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF LOUISIANA APPROVED: ACT No. 504
