GAMING. Provides additional penalties for allowing minors to gamble at video poker truck

AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 27:319(B)(2)(e), relative to penalties for allowing underage persons to play2
video draw poker devices; to provide for revocation of certain permits, designations3
and identification cards; and to provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1.  R.S. 27:319(B)(2)(e) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 6

(e)  Any employee of the licensee holding a video draw poker employee11
permit or employed as a designated representative or a licensed and insured12
uniform security guard or off duty P.O.S.T. certified law enforcement officer13
performing security detail at a licensed establishment shall be subject to14
revocation of their video draw poker employee permit, designated15
representative status or their guard identification card, whichever is applicable16
by the appropriate permitting or licensing authority, should the licensee receive17 SB NO. 719

a violation pursuant to this Section and the licensee later determine fault on1
behalf of the video draw poker employee permit holder, designated2
representative or licensed and insured guard or law enforcement officer in3
being cited for such violation.4

Present law provides penalties for licensees or their agents for allowing underage persons
to play video draw poker devices.
Proposed law additionally provides that if a licensee receives a violation and determines that
fault for the violation lies with the holder of a video draw poker employee permit or a
designated representative or a licensed and insured uniform security guard or an off duty
P.O.S.T. certified law enforcement officer performing security detail at the licensed
establishment, the permit of designated representative status or guard identification card
shall be subject to revocation.
Effective August 15, 2010.
