Provides for membership on the Council on Peace Officer Standards and Training and the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement and the Administration of Criminal Justice. (8/15/10) AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 40:2403(B)(1)(f) and to enact R.S. 15:1202(A)(28), relative to2 law enforcement officers; to provide for the membership on the Council of Peace3 Officer Standards and Training; to provide for the membership on the Louisiana4 Commission on Law Enforcement and Administration of Criminal Justice; and to5 provide for related matters.6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7 Section 1. R.S. 15:1202(A)(28) is hereby enacted to read as follows:8 §1202. Composition of commission 9 A. DIGEST Broome (SB 742) Present law provides for membership on the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement and the Administration of Criminal Justice. Proposed law adds the president/director of the Louisiana Chapter of the National Constables' Association as a member. Present law provides for membership on the Council on Peace Officer Standards and Training. Proposed law clarifies that the president or director of the Louisiana chapter of the National Constables Association shall be a member on the Council on Peace Officer Standards and Training; otherwise, retains present law. Effective August 15, 2010. (Amends R.S. 40:2403(B)(1)(f); adds R.S. 15:1202(A)(28)) Summary of Amendments Adopted by Senate Senate Floor Amendments to engrossed bill. 1.
