GAMING. Requires five percent of net win from electronic bingo machines be paid to the
Louisiana Food Bank Association. (8/15/10)
AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 4:724(E), relative to electronic bingo machines; to provide for2
distribution of net wins; and to provide for related matters.3
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:4
Section 1.  R.S. 4:724(E) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 5
ยง724. Use of electronic or video bingo games6

E. At least forty-five fifty percent of the net win from the machine must be8
paid to the licensee owning or leasing it. Five percent of the fifty percent of net9
win from the machine paid to the licensee owning or leasing shall be remitted10
to the Louisiana Food Bank Association on a quarterly basis. The Louisiana11
Food Bank Association shall equally distribute the proceeds to the Food Bank12
of Central Louisiana, Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana, Food Bank of13
Northwest Louisiana, Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, and Second Harvest14
Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana.15

DIGEST
Present law requires 45% of net win from a electronic bingo machine must be paid to the
charitable organization owning or leasing the machine. 
Proposed law increases the amount paid to the charitable organization from 45% to 50% and
requires the organization remit to 5% of the net win to the Louisiana Food Bank Association
on a quarterly basis.
Proposed law requires the Louisiana Food Bank Association to equally distribute the
proceeds to the following food banks:
(1)Food Bank of Central Louisiana. 
(2)Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana.
(3)Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana.
(4)Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank
(5)Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana.
Effective August 15, 2010.
