SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 108
BY SENATOR SMITH 
A RESOLUTION
To commend and congratulate McKenna Goodwin, sophomore pitcher of Leesville High
School, on being named District 4-4A Most Valuable Player.
WHEREAS, it is appropriate to commend McKenna Goodwin for leading the
Leesville High School Lady Cats Softball Team to a District 4-4A championship and the
Class 4A playoffs; and
WHEREAS, a sophomore at Leesville High, and star pitcher for the team, she
demonstrated dedication and focus on the field; and
WHEREAS, because of this devotion, she led the Lady Cats through fifteen wins and
a memorable and exciting season; and
WHEREAS, though there are many star players on the Lady Cats and on all the
teams throughout the state, it was with confidence that the coaches in District 4-4A named
McKenna Goodwin the Most Valuable Player in that district; and
WHEREAS, although the team has had its fair share of standout softball players,
none before was ever selected as the district's Most Valuable Player.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby commend and congratulate McKenna Goodwin on being named District 4-4A
Most Valuable Player, and does hereby wish her more successful seasons as a Leesville
Lady Cat.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
McKenna Goodwin.
