SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 167
BY SENATOR SHAW 
COMMENDATIONS.  Commends Micah Webber on being named the 2010 National
Christian Forensics and Communications Association's Original Oratory champion.
A RESOLUTION1
To commend Micah Webber on being named the 2010 National Christian Forensics and2
Communications Association's Original Oratory champion.3
WHEREAS, the National Christian Forensics and Communications Association is4
a speech and debate league for home educated students, composed of roughly five thousand5
competitors nationwide; and6
WHEREAS, Micah prepared and wrote a speech on "faith in hardship" for the 20107
competition; and8
WHEREAS, throughout the 2009-10 school year, Micah competed in numerous pre-9
regional tournaments across Region 7 for the National Christian Forensics and10
Communications Association, which consisted of students from Louisiana, Alabama,11
Mississippi, and Tennessee; and12
WHEREAS, at the Region 7 2010 National Christian Forensics and Communications13
Association's Regional Championship in Birmingham, Alabama, Micah placed second and14
earned a spot at the national tournament, where he would face over sixty other students in15
his category; and16
WHEREAS, facing off against the best of the best at the 2010 National Christian17
Forensics and Communications Association's National Championship tournament, held at18 SR NO. 167

Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Micah was the best and was named the 20101
National Christian Forensics and Communications Association's Original Oratory2
Champion.3
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana4
does hereby Micah Webber on being named the 2010 National Christian Forensics and5
Communications Association's Original Oratory champion.6
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to7
Micah Webber.8
