A RESOLUTION
To commend Micah Webber on being named the 2010 National Christian Forensics and
Communications Association's Original Oratory champion.
WHEREAS, the National Christian Forensics and Communications Association is
a speech and debate league for home educated students, composed of roughly five thousand
competitors nationwide; and
WHEREAS, Micah prepared and wrote a speech on "faith in hardship" for the 2010
competition; and
WHEREAS, throughout the 2009-10 school year, Micah competed in numerous pre-
regional tournaments across Region 7 for the National Christian Forensics and
Communications Association, which consisted of students from Louisiana, Alabama,
Mississippi, and Tennessee; and
WHEREAS, at the Region 7 2010 National Christian Forensics and Communications
Association's Regional Championship in Birmingham, Alabama, Micah placed second and
earned a spot at the national tournament, where he would face over sixty other students in
his category; and
WHEREAS, facing off against the best of the best at the 2010 National Christian
Forensics and Communications Association's National Championship tournament, held at
Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Micah was the best and was named the 2010
National Christian Forensics and Communications Association's Original Oratory

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby commend Micah Webber on being named the 2010 National Christian Forensics
and Communications Association's Original Oratory champion.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
Micah Webber.
