BY SENATOR CHAISSON 
SENATE.  Provides for membership of certain standing committees.
A RESOLUTION1
To amend and readopt Senate Rule 13.1(A)(2), (6), (7), and (16) of the Rules of Order of the2
Senate, to increase the membership of certain standing committees from seven to3
nine members.4
BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana amends and5
readopts Senate Rule 13.1(A)(2), (6), (7) and (16) of the Rules of Order of the Senate to read6
as follows:7
Rule 13.1.  Standing committees8
A. There shall be seventeen standing committees of the Senate. The duty of9
each committee shall be to take into consideration all such subjects as properly10
pertain to the subjects and purposes assigned to each and which may be referred to11
it by the Senate. Committee members shall be appointed and may be removed by the12
President. The seventeen standing committees of the Senate shall be listed as below,13
and the membership of each committee shall be in the number set forth after the14
name of the committee:15
