AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 27:93(A)(5)(introductory paragraph), 203, and 205(26), relative2
to provisions of Title 27 (Louisiana Gaming Control Law) of the Louisiana Revised3
Statutes of 1950 which are limited in applicability to certain political subdivisions4
or local areas based upon population classifications; to specify applicability to one5
or more political subdivisions or local areas; and to provide for related matters.6
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7
Section 1. R.S. 27:93(A)(5)(introductory paragraph), 203, and 205(26) are hereby8
amended and reenacted to read as follows: 9
§93.  Authorization of local governing authorities; fees; regulation; local option10

(5) In a parish having a population of not less than sixty-two thousand13
persons and not more than sixty-eight thousand persons, based on the latest federal14
decennial census St. Bernard Parish, the admission fees for passengers authorized by15
Paragraph (1) of this Subsection and levied by the parish shall be allocated as16
follows:17

§203.  Official gaming establishment19
The official gaming establishment shall be located in a parish having a20
population of four hundred ninety thousand or more persons according to the latest21
official United States census Orleans Parish. The particular facility shall be22
determined as provided for in R.S. 27:241.23

§205.  Definitions1
When used in this Chapter, the following terms have these meanings:2

(26) "Official gaming establishment" means the building or facility described4
in R.S. 27:241 which is located in a parish having a population of four hundred5
ninety thousand or more persons according to the latest official United States census,6
at the time a casino operating contract is executed, Orleans Parish at which the7
conducting of casino gaming operations is authorized.8
