ENROLLED Page 1 of 2 First Extraordinary Session, 2011 HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 20 BY REPRESENTATIVE AUBERT A RESOLUTION To express the condolences of the House of Representatives upon the death of Mr. Burnell Irvin. WHEREAS, the Louisiana House of Representatives has learned of the passing of Mr. Burnell Irvin; and WHEREAS, on March 1, 2011, the citizens of Louisiana, particularly the citizens of Ascension Parish, lost one of its beloved friends in Burnell Irvin; and WHEREAS, Burnell Irvin was born on November 28, 1944, from the union of Randolph and Doretha Thomas Irvin; and WHEREAS, Burnell was a veteran of the United States Army and worked for Cargill Inc., until his retirement; and WHEREAS, he was a faithful member of the Hopeful Triumph Baptist Church, where he also served as an usher; and WHEREAS, he leaves to cherish his memories, a loving wife of 38 years, Cynthia and his son, Mario and daughter-in-law Nicholl, and a host of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends; and WHEREAS, his passing will leave a void in the hearts of those he loved and who loved him; and WHEREAS, this void will be filled by the fond memories that they all shall cherish. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby express its heartfelt condolences to the family of Mr. Burnell Irvin.
