APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment against
the state in the matter of "Melchor Rodriguez, Jr., et al v. State Farm Mutual
Automobile Insurance Company, et al"
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2011-2
2012 to be used to pay the consent judgment against the state in the suit entitled3
"Melchor Rodriguez, Jr., Individually and as administrator for the estate of his4
deceased wife, Brenda Rodriguez, et al v. State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance5
Company, et al"; and to provide for related matters.6
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7
Section 1. The sum of Three Thousand and No/100 ($3,000.00) Dollars is hereby8
appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2011-2012 to9
be used to pay the consent judgment against the state in the suit entitled "Melchor10
Rodriguez, Jr., Individually and as administrator for the estate of his deceased wife, Brenda11
Rodriguez, et al v. State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, et al", bearing12
Number 107,079, Division D, on the docket of the Twenty-First Judicial District Court,13
parish of Livingston, state of Louisiana.14
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2011; if vetoed by the governor15
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,16
2011, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later. 17 HLS 11RS-752 ORIGINAL
