TRANSPORTATION DEPT: Provides for the transfer of state property in Vermilion Parish
AN ACT1
To authorize and provide for the transfer of certain state property; to authorize the transfer2
of certain state property in Vermilion Parish; to provide for the property description;3
to provide for reservation of mineral rights; to provide terms and conditions; to4
provide an effective date; and to provide for related matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1.  The secretary of the Department of Transportation and Development,7
notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, is hereby authorized and8
empowered to convey, transfer, assign, lease or deliver any interest, excluding mineral9
rights, the state may have to all or any portion of the following described parcel of property10
to Elwood Lacour and Claudette Lacour:11
A certain lot known as Lot 112 on North Broadway Street in the village of12
Erath, Section 35, Township 12 South, Range 4 East, Vermilion Parish, Louisiana.13
Section 2.  The secretary of the Department of Transportation and Development is14
hereby authorized to enter into such agreements, covenants, conditions, and stipulations and15
to execute such documents as necessary to properly effectuate any conveyance, transfer,16
assignment, lease or delivery of title, excluding mineral rights, to the property described in17
Section 1, and as more specifically described in any such agreements entered into and18
documents executed by and between the secretary of the Department of Transportation and19
Development and Elwood Lacour and Claudette Lacour, in exchange of consideration20

Section 3. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not1
signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature2
by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If3
vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become4
effective on the day following such approval.5
