ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE PERMT: Provides for Class A caterer permits for certain facilities AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 26:271.2(introductory paragraph) and to enact R.S. 26:271.2(5),2 relative to Class A retail permits for beverages of low alcoholic content; to authorize3 a caterer's permit for certain facilities; to provide for rulemaking; and to provide for4 related matters.5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6 Section 1. R.S. 26:271.2(introductory paragraph) is hereby amended and reenacted7 and R.S. 26:271.2(5) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 8 ยง271.2. Present law provides for the issuance of four types of permits for the sale of alcoholic beverages of low alcoholic content for consumption on the premises: Class A-General, Class A-Restaurant, Class A-Special, and Class A-Restaurant-Conditional. Proposed law retains present law and authorizes the issuance of a Class A-Caterer permit. Proposed law provides that the commissioner of alcohol and tobacco control shall adopt rules in accordance with the APA to provide for additional criteria for the permit.
