AN ACT1 To enact R.S. 13:2501.1(N), relative to court costs in the Traffic Court of New Orleans; to2 provide for an increase in court costs; to provide for use of the funds; and to provide3 for related matters.4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5 Section 1. R.S. 13:2501.1(N) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 6 ยง2501.1. Traffic Court of New Orleans 7 * * *8 N. In all prosecutions in the Traffic Court of New Orleans, including all9 traffic violations other than parking, there shall be taxed as additional costs against10 every defendant who is convicted after trial or plea of guilty or nolo contendere or11 who forfeits his bond, a sum not to exceed thirty dollars, which shall be in addition12 to all other fines, costs, or forfeitures lawfully imposed and which shall be13 transmitted to the judicial expense fund of the Traffic Court of New Orleans to be14 used by the court to defray its expenses.15 SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATI VES PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF LOUISIANA APPROVED:
