A RESOLUTION
To commend the Honorable Reed S. Henderson and to express enduring gratitude for his
outstanding contributions to Orleans and St. Bernard parishes and the state of
Louisiana, particularly during his tenure as a distinguished member of the Louisiana
House of Representatives.
WHEREAS, Reed Henderson is a public servant who has served with excellence as
a state representative since taking office in 2008, during which time he has fully used every
opportunity to serve the citizens of his district and the state in an honorable and dedicated
manner; and
WHEREAS, a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a commodity
trader, Representative Henderson has served as a member of the Democratic Caucus, the
Louisiana Rural Caucus, and the Orleans Delegation; and
WHEREAS, Representative Henderson's diligent committee service has included
serving as a member of the House Committee on Commerce, the House Committee on
Natural Resources and Environment, the House Committee on Retirement, and the Select
Committee on Hurricane Recovery; and ENROLLEDHR NO. 146

WHEREAS, during his time in the House of Representatives, Representative
Henderson has worked on and supported many important pieces of legislation; and
WHEREAS, as he prepares to begin the next exciting and productive chapter of his
life, Representative Henderson merits a sincere measure of commendation for his singular
contributions and the exemplary strides he has taken as an exceptional member of the
Louisiana House of Representatives.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana hereby commends the Honorable Reed S. Henderson, hereby
extends honor and recognition to him for his outstanding accomplishments, particularly
during his tenure as a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, which has been
marked by his uncompromising endeavor to improve the welfare of his constituents in
Orleans and St. Bernard parishes and the citizens of the state of Louisiana, and hereby pays
tribute to him for the generous and effective way in which he has dedicated his intelligence
and his energy to the service of his family, friends, community, and state.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Louisiana House of Representatives hereby
expresses enduring gratitude to Representative Henderson for his service to the citizens of
Louisiana, as evidenced by his superlative achievements as a member of this distinguished
body, and hereby extends to him the best wishes of all of his colleagues for continued
prosperity and success in his future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to the Honorable Reed Henderson.
