LOCAL AGENCIES. Authorizes the Vermilion Parish Assessment District to provide an
automobile expense allowance to the tax assessor. (8/15/11)
AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 47:1925.11, relative to the Vermilion Parish Assessment District; to authorize2
the tax assessor of Vermilion Parish to receive an automobile expense allowance;3
and to provide for related matters.4
Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1.  R.S. 47:1925.11 is hereby enacted to read as follows: 7
ยง1925.11. Vermilion Parish Assessment District; automobile expense allowance8
In the Vermilion Parish Assessment District, the assessor may receive an9
automobile expense allowance equal to fifteen percent of his annual salary10
provided the assessor maintains three hundred thousand dollars of automobile11
insurance per accident for bodily injury and one hundred thousand dollars of12
automobile insurance per accident for property damage.13 SB NO. 110

Proposed law authorizes the Vermilion Parish Assessment District to provide an automobile
expense allowance for the tax assessor equal to 15% of his annual salary provided the
assessor maintain $300,000 of automobile insurance per accident for bodily injury and
$100,000 of automobile insurance per accident for property damage.
Effective August 15, 2011.
