AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 33:1236(66), relative to the Ouachita Parish Police Jury; to authorize the2
prohibition of certain sales; and to provide for related matters.3
Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1.  R.S. 33:1236(66) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 6
ยง1236. Powers of parish governing authorities7
The police juries and other parish governing authorities shall have the8
following powers:9

(66) The governing authority of Ouachita Parish shall have the authority11
to enact ordinances prohibiting the sales of certain animals along roadsides, in12
parking lots, and in other outdoor areas in the unincorporated areas of13
Ouachita Parish.14
Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not15
signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature16
by the governor, as provided in Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana.  If17
vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become18
effective on the day following such approval.19
