Requires BESE to adopt an approved list of textbooks and instructional materials for use in foreign language immersion programs. (8/15/11) AN ACT1 To enact R.S. 17:8(A)(3), relative to textbooks and other instructional materials; to provide2 for the adoption of a list of approved textbooks and other instructional materials for3 use in foreign language immersion programs and schools; and to provide for related4 matters.5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6 Section 1. R.S. 17:8(A)(3) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 7 ยง8. School books prescribed by board; contracts with publishers8 A.9 * * *10 (3)(a) The board shall adopt a list of approved textbooks and other11 instructional materials for use in foreign language immersion programs and12 schools.
