SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON NO. 48

COMMENDATIONS. Commends the St. Louis High School Saints on winning the Class
4A State Baseball Championship.
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON1
To commend the St. Louis High School baseball team on winning the 2011 Class 4A state2
championship.3
WHEREAS, the St. Louis High School baseball team completed a sensational4
season, earning the title of 2011 Class 4A state champions after defeating St. Michael by a5
score of 9-8; and6
WHEREAS, the members of the team performed at the highest level of excellence7
throughout the season and playoffs, and every player deserves recognition for his vital8
contributions to the winning effort; and9
WHEREAS, the 2011 St. Louis High School baseball team consists of Darien Bartie,10
Kade Billeaudeaux, Reid Chavez, James Ferrer, Zack LaCombe, Cameron Landry, Mason11
Thigpen, Collin Todd, Jacob Williams, Michael Minaldi, Garrett Dufrene, Derrick Rau, Matt12
Gallier, Robie Ehlers, Ben Drouillet, Chris Stout, Brett Dereoun, Gage Griffen, Garrett13
Harless, Dylan Manual, Hayden Hernandez, Charles Yorks, and Collin Reed; and14
WHEREAS, the amazing accomplishments of the team could not have been achieved15
without the guidance and skills of head coach, Ross Blankenship, assistant head coaches,16
Jason Keiser, Chip Gauthe, Chris Denton, and Kevin Gardner, and managers, Rick Alston17
and Mike Clutier, as well as all of the other individuals who have contributed to the success18 SCR NO. 48

of the school's baseball program; and1
WHEREAS, all St. Louis High School alumni and fans recognize the immense pride2
and distinguished honor that the Saints team brings to its school, community and state.3
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana4
does hereby commend the St. Louis High School baseball team on winning the 2011 Class5
4A state championship and does hereby extend best wishes to the players, coaches and6
everyone involved with this fine baseball program as they celebrate their exceptional season7
and prepare for continued success in the future.8
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to Ross9
Blankenship, head coach of the St. Louis High School baseball team.10
