Page 1 of 2 Regular Session, 2011 ENROLLED SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON NO. 48 BY SENATOR MOUNT A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON To commend the St. Louis High School baseball team on winning the 2011 Class 4A state championship. WHEREAS, the St. Louis High School baseball team completed a sensational season, earning the title of 2011 Class 4A state champions after defeating St. Michael by a score of 9-8; and WHEREAS, the members of the team performed at the highest level of excellence throughout the season and playoffs, and every player deserves recognition for his vital contributions to the winning effort; and WHEREAS, the 2011 St. Louis High School baseball team consists of Darien Bartie, Kade Billeaudeaux, Reid Chavez, James Ferrer, Zack LaCombe, Cameron Landry, Mason Thigpen, Collin Todd, Jacob Williams, Michael Minaldi, Garrett Dufrene, Derrick Rau, Matt Gallier, Robie Ehlers, Ben Drouillet, Chris Stout, Brett Dereoun, Gage Griffen, Garrett Harless, Dylan Manual, Hayden Hernandez, Charles Yorks, and Collin Reed; and WHEREAS, the amazing accomplishments of the team could not have been achieved without the guidance and skills of head coach, Ross Blankenship, assistant head coaches, Jason Keiser, Chip Gauthe, Chris Denton, and Kevin Gardner, and managers, Rick Alston and Mike Clutier, as well as all of the other individuals who have contributed to the success of the school's baseball program; and WHEREAS, all St. Louis High School alumni and fans recognize the immense pride and distinguished honor that the Saints team brings to its school, community and state. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the St. Louis High School baseball team on winning the 2011 Class 4A state championship and does hereby extend best wishes to the players, coaches and everyone involved with this fine baseball program as they celebrate their exceptional season and prepare for continued success in the future.
