SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 111

A RESOLUTION
To commend J. David "Dave" Gregory, LCSW, of the Louisiana Department of Veterans
Affairs for his dedication and compassionate service to disabled veterans and their
families.
WHEREAS, many war veterans continue to experience the horrific experiences of
war long after their service; and
WHEREAS, for many years Dave Gregory has provided counseling and services to
war veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other war related
illnesses; and
WHEREAS, he has exhibited great compassion and understanding for these veterans
treating them all with the respect, understanding and honor that their service deserves; and
WHEREAS, Dave Gregory's love of service, dedication, and deep commitment has
greatly enhanced the quality of life for these veterans and their families; and
WHEREAS, he has been a voice for those that have experienced horrific memories
of war, been their counselor and confidant, listening quietly and gently guiding these men
and women through the difficulties of their illness helping those that would otherwise be
lost, live productive lives.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby commend J. David Gregory of the Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs
for his exemplary service to the disabled veterans of the state of Louisiana.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to J.
David Gregory, Department of Veterans Affairs.
