Page 1 of 1 Regular Session, 2011 ENROLLED SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 155 BY SENATOR CHAISSON A RESOLUTION To commend and congratulate Haynes Academy for Advanced Studies in Metairie, Louisiana, for winning the statewide competition to represent Louisiana in the National "We the People" competition. WHEREAS, the primary goal of "We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution" is to promote civic competence and responsibility among the nation's upper elementary and secondary students; and WHEREAS, on January 28, 2011, the team from Haynes Academy for Advanced Studies, led by teachers Jamie Staub and Chris Totaro, competed with four other Louisiana schools and won the competition to represent this state in the National "We the People" contest. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend and congratulate Haynes Academy for Advanced Studies in Metairie, Louisiana, for winning the statewide competition to represent Louisiana in the National "We the People" competition. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to Haynes Academy for Advanced Studies, led by teachers Jamie Staub and Chris Totaro. PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE
