SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 22

A RESOLUTION
To commend the Daniel and Tammy Green family on being selected to receive the
Louisiana State Council Knights of Columbus 2010-2011 Family of the Year Award.
WHEREAS, the Knights of Columbus, Breaux Bridge Council #2398, nominated
Daniel Green and his family for consideration for the Family of the Year Award given by
the Louisiana State Council of the Knights of Columbus; and
WHEREAS, Daniel and Tammy Green live in Breaux Bridge and have eight
children, Danielle, Dustin, Devan, Desiree, Daniel II, David, Drew, and Darian; and
WHEREAS, as a member of Breaux Bridge Council #2398, Daniel serves as
community director and second year trustee and he and Tammy serve as Pro-Life Chair
Couple; and
WHEREAS, Daniel has planned and lead a twelve hour prayer vigil for sick
members of the council; represented the council at Pro-Life marches in New York,
Washington D.C., Texas, and Mississippi; and represented the council at several prayer
vigils including two three-day vigils; and
WHEREAS, Tammy supports Daniel in all he does and joins him on marches and
prayer vigils; and
WHEREAS, two sons are in the Squires, one is a Knights of Columbus member, and
the children have attended several marches and vigils in the past year; and
WHEREAS, Daniel works with the CCD program within his church and has taught
classes for several years, specifically with the eighth grade this year; gives talks in the RCIA
program; and commits to weekly hours at the adoration chapel; and
WHEREAS, Tammy is an active member of the Catholic Daughters of America and
an active participant in its functions; and SR NO. 22 ENROLLED

WHEREAS, Daniel coaches youth football, organizes and leads prayer vigils for the
sick, and works to preserve historical landmarks; and
WHEREAS, the Green family is hard working, selfless, and willing to assist others
functioning as a family within their home, their church, and their community; and
WHEREAS, the Daniel and Tammy Green family was given the 2010-2011 Family
of the Year Award at the 106

State Convention of the Knights of Columbus held on April
29-May 1, 2011 at the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner, Louisiana.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby commend the Daniel and Tammy Green family on being selected to receive the
2010-2011 Family of the Year Award by the Louisiana State Council of the Knights of
Columbus.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
Daniel and Tammy Green.
