Page 1 of 1 Regular Session, 2011 ENROLLED SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 38 BY SENATORS MARIONNEAUX, ADLEY, ALARIO, AMEDEE, APPEL, BROOME, CHABERT, CHAISSON, CHEEK, CLAITOR, CROWE, DONAHUE, DORSEY, ERDEY, GAUTREAUX, GUILLORY, HEITMEIER, JACKSON, KOSTELKA, LAFLEUR, LONG, MARTINY, MCPHERSON, MICHOT, MILLS, MORRELL, MORRISH, MOUNT, MURRAY, NEVERS, PERRY, PETERSON, QUINN, RISER, SHAW, SMITH, THOMPSON, WALSWORTH AND WILLARD-LEWIS A RESOLUTION To express the sincere condolences of the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana to the family and friends of Sergeant First Class Arthur Lee Kessinger Jr., upon his death. WHEREAS, Sergeant First Class Kessinger was a native of Jonesboro, Georgia, and a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, where he was a 1995 graduate of Ponchatoula High School; and WHEREAS, for thirteen years, he actively served his state and country as a proud member of the National Guard; and WHEREAS, Sergeant First Class Kessinger's military service included active service in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; and WHEREAS, dedicated and hard-working, he was respected and loved by family and friends alike; and WHEREAS, Sergeant First Class Kessinger's thirty-two years on this Earth were too short; and WHEREAS, family and friends of Sergeant First Class Kessinger are joined by this state and country to mourn the passing of a great American. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby extend its deepest and most profound condolences to the family of Sergeant First Class Arthur Lee Kessinger Jr., for their profound and unexpected loss. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the family of Sergeant First Class Arthur Lee Kessinger Jr. PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE
