APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment against
the DOTD in the matter of "Jermaine Murphy v. Progressive Security Insurance
Company, et al"
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2012-2
2013 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Jermaine Murphy3
v. Progressive Security Insurance Company, Robert Anderson, Jr., Ashley Mosely,4
State of Louisiana through the Department of Transportation and Development"; to5
provide for interest; to provide for court costs; and to provide for related matters.6
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7
Section 1. The sum of Ninety-Three Thousand and No/100 ($93,000.00) Dollars8
is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year9
2012-2013 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Jermaine Murphy v.10
Progressive Security Insurance Company, Robert Anderson, Jr., Ashley Mosely, State of11
Louisiana through the Department of Transportation and Development", bearing Number12
2004-4749, Division "I", on the docket of the Civil District Court, parish of Orleans, state13
of Louisiana.14
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2012; if vetoed by the governor15
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,16
