ACT No. 287 Regular Session, 2012 HOUSE BILL NO. 1082 BY REPRESENTATIVE THIBAUT AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 26:71.1(1)(h) and 271.2(1)(h) and to enact R.S. 26:73(C)(6) and2 272(C)(6), relative to permits issued by the commissioner of alcohol and tobacco3 control; to provide for Class A-General retail permits for low and high alcoholic4 beverages; to require a Class A-General retail establishment to adhere to certain5 guidelines relative to public restrooms; to require the retail establishment to obtain6 proof of compliance from the office of public health; to prohibit the issuance of7 certain permits to establishments engaged in certain live entertainment; and to8 provide for related matters.9 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:10 Section 1. R.S. 26:71.1(1)(h) and 271.2(1)(h) are hereby amended and reenacted and11 R.S. 26:73(C)(6) and 272(C)(6) are hereby enacted to read as follows: 12 §71.1. Restaurant "R" permit; application; fees1 * * *2 C.3 * * *4 (6) Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, no local or state5 Class "R" restaurant permit shall be issued to any establishment that provides the6 type of live entertainment described in R.S. 26:90(E).7 * * *8 §271.2.
