PUBLIC BLDGS/GROUNDS-ST: Renames the administration building at Southern
University at New Orleans in honor of Dr. Emmett W. Bashful
AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 17:1601.8, relative to state buildings; to provide that the administration2
building located on Press Drive at Southern University at New Orleans be renamed3
the Dr. Emmett W. Bashful Administration Building; and to provide for related4
matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1. R.S. 17:1601.8 is hereby enacted to read as follows: 7
ยง1601.8. Dr. Emmett W. Bashful Administration Building8
The administration building located on Press Drive on the campus of9
Southern University at New Orleans, operated by and under the authority of the10
Board of Supervisors of Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical11
College, is designated and shall be known hereafter as the "Dr. Emmett W. Bashful12
Administration Building".13
