APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgments in favor
of Bridget Bourgeois and Manya Louis in the matter of "Bridget Bourgeois, et al v.
State of Louisiana DOTD, et al" consolidated with "Tim Green v. State Farm Mutual
Insurance Company, et al" consolidated with "Johnathan Louis and Manya Louis v.
State of Louisiana DOTD"
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2012-2
2013 to be used to pay the consent judgments in favor of Bridget Bourgeois and3
Manya Louis in the suit entitled "Bridget Bourgeois, individually, and on behalf of4
her deceased son, Cody J. Cormany v. State of Louisiana through Department of5
Transportation and Development, Johnathan Louis and/or the estate of Johnathan6
Louis, State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, State Farm Fire and7
Casualty Company and Government Employees Insurance Company (GEICO)"8
consolidated with "Tim Green v. State Farm Mutual Insurance Company, Allstate9
Insurance Company, the Estate of Cody Cormany and the Estate of Johnathan Louis"10
consolidated with "Johnathan Louis and Manya Louis v. State of Louisiana through11
Department of Transportation and Development"; and to provide for related matters.12
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:13
Section 1. The sum of One Hundred Ninety-Five Thousand and No/10014
($195,000.00) Dollars is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of15
Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2012-2013 to be used to pay the consent judgment in favor of16
Manya Louis in the suit entitled "Bridget Bourgeois, individually, and on behalf of her17
deceased son, Cody J. Cormany v. State of Louisiana through Department of Transportation18

Automobile Insurance Company, State Farm Fire and Casualty Company and Government1
Employees Insurance Company (GEICO)" consolidated with "Tim Green v. State Farm2
Mutual Insurance Company, Allstate Insurance Company, the Estate of Cody Cormany and3
the Estate of Johnathan Louis" consolidated with "Johnathan Louis and Manya Louis v. State4
of Louisiana through Department of Transportation and Development", bearing Numbers5
C569,599, Section 25, C569,024, Section 27, and C560,288, Section 25, respectively, on the6
docket of the Nineteenth Judicial District Court, parish of East Baton Rouge, state of7
Louisiana.8
Section 2. The sum of Seventy-Five Thousand and No/100 ($75,000.00) Dollars is9
hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2012-10
2013 to be used to pay the consent judgment in favor of Bridget Bourgeois, individually, and11
on behalf of her deceased son, Cody J. Cormany, in the suit entitled "Bridget Bourgeois,12
individually, and on behalf of her deceased son, Cody J. Cormany v. State of Louisiana13
through Department of Transportation and Development, Johnathan Louis and/or the estate14
of Johnathan Louis, State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, State Farm Fire15
and Casualty Company and Government Employees Insurance Company (GEICO)"16
consolidated with "Tim Green v. State Farm Mutual Insurance Company, Allstate Insurance17
Company, the Estate of Cody Cormany and the Estate of Johnathan Louis" consolidated with18
"Johnathan Louis and Manya Louis v. State of Louisiana through Department of19
Transportation and Development", bearing Numbers C569,599, Section 25, C569,024,20
Section 27, and C560,288, Section 25, respectively, on the docket of the Nineteenth Judicial21
District Court, parish of East Baton Rouge, state of Louisiana.22
Section 3. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2012; if vetoed by the governor23
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,24
