AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 13:850(B)(introductory paragraph), relative to facsimile filings2
in civil actions; to provide for exceptions to filing an original document in certain3
circumstances; to provide for procedures; and to provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1. R.S. 13:850(B)(introductory paragraph) is hereby amended and reenacted6
to read as follows: 7
ยง850. Facsimile transmission; filings in civil actions; fees; equipment and supplies8

B. Within five seven days, exclusive of legal holidays, after the clerk of10
court has received the transmission, the party filing the document shall forward the11
following to the clerk:12
