APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment against
the state in the matter of "Allstate Insurance Company as partial subrogee to the
rights of/and Vernita Hutton v. DOTD"
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2012-2
2013 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Allstate Insurance3
Company as partial subrogee to the rights of/and Vernita Hutton v. Louisiana4
Department of Transportation and Development, et al"; and to provide for related5
matters.6
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7
Section 1. The sum of One Thousand One Hundred Eleven and 75/100 ($1,111.75)8
Dollars is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal9
Year 2012-2013 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Allstate10
Insurance Company as partial subrogee to the rights of/and Vernita Hutton v. Louisiana11
Department of Transportation and Development, et al", bearing Number 2011-6547,12
Division I-14, on the docket of the Civil District Court, parish of Orleans, state of Louisiana.13
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2012; if vetoed by the governor14
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,15
2012, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later. 16 HLS 12RS-568 ORIGINAL
