AN ACT1
To designate a portion of Highway 12 as the "Purple Heart Recipient Highway" and to2
designate the Interstate 20/US 371 Interchange as the "Sergeant Joshua Barrett3
Madden Interchange".4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1. That portion of Louisiana Highway 12 beginning at the intersection of6
Highway 12 and Old River Road, westbound to the intersection of Highway 12 and Delbert7
Clark Road, in Calcasieu Parish, shall be hereinafter known and designated as the "Purple8
Heart Recipient Highway".9
Section 2. The interchange of Interstate 20 and U.S. 371 (Exit 47 Sibley/Minden)10
in Webster Parish shall be hereinafter known and designated as the "Sergeant Joshua Barrett11
Madden Interchange".12
Section 3. The Department of Transportation and Development or its contractors are13
hereby directed to erect appropriate signage reflecting these designations.14
