Citizens Property Insurance Corporation from posting bonds AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 13:4581, relative to bonds; to provide an exemption for2 Louisiana Citizens Property Insurance Corporation from posting bond; and to3 provide for related matters.4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5 Section 1. R.S. 13:4581 is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 6 ยง4581. State, state agencies, political subdivisions, and public boards and7 commissions not required to furnish bond8 The state, state agencies, political subdivisions, parish, and municipal boards9 or commissions exercising public power and functions, sheriffs, sheriffs'10 departments, and law enforcement districts, the Louisiana Insurance Guaranty11 Association, the Louisiana Citizens Property Insurance Corporation, and the Patient's12 Compensation Fund, or any officer or employee thereof, shall not be required to13 furnish any appeal bond or any other bond whatsoever in any judicial proceedings14 instituted by or brought against them, that arise from activities within the scope and15 course of their duties and employment.16 HLS 12RS-333 ORIGINAL HB NO. 472 Page 2 of 2 CODING: Words in struck through type are deletions from existing law; words underscored are additions. Insurance Guaranty Association, and the Patient's Compensation Fund are not required to furnish any bond in any judicial proceedings arising from activities within the scope and course of their duties and employment. Proposed law retains present law and adds La. Citizens Property Insurance Corp. to the exemption. (Amends R.S. 13:4581)
