MTR VEHICLE/DRIVER LIC: Requires drivers' licenses to include a special code
indicating the holder has a lifetime hunting license in the state of La.
AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 32:412(K) relative to drivers' licenses; to provide a special endorsement code2
on Louisiana drivers' licenses indicating the driver is a lifetime hunting licensee; and3
to provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1. R.S. 32:412(K) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 6
ยง412. Amount of fees; credit or refund; duration of license; disbursement of funds;7
renewal by mail or electronic commerce of Class "D" or "E" drivers' licenses;8
disposition of certain fees; exception9

K. The Louisiana driver's license, regardless of its class, issued to any person11
who has obtained a lifetime hunting license pursuant to R.S. 56:649.1, shall contain12
a special endorsement code which declares that the licenseholder is a lifetime13
hunting licensee. The office of motor vehicles shall comply with the provisions of14
this Subsection and the driver's license shall include the words "Lifetime Hunting15

Present law provides relative to La. driver's license classes, endorsements, renewals, and
fees.
Proposed law requires a special code on La. driver's licenses to indicate the holder is a
lifetime hunting licensee in the state of La. pursuant to R.S. 56:649.1.
